Engineers Day, one of the latest additions to the Hispack24 programme of activities, was presented on Tuesday 19 March at the Enginyers Industrials de Catalunya (EIC) headquarters. This project, which will be held on 8 May in the International Business Center (Hall 3) on the second day of the show, will recognise the work of engineers who innovate and design solutions applied to the packaging sector.

Engineers Day will have a very full agenda with, among others, the following events:

  • 10h. Speeches with expert representatives from industrial companies, FMCG distribution and robotics applied to warehousing
  • 11.25h. Institutional ceremony and presentation of awards to people and organisations in the sector
  • 12.30h. Guided tour to discover the innovative solutions of Hispack exhibitors in automation and robotics for intralogistics

In this way, we create the perfect scenario for technical professionals and engineers linked to production processes, R&D, operations and supply chain – more than 40% of Hispack visitors – to share experiences and alternatives to address the challenges of the industry.

The Engineers Day launch event on 19 May also featured a dialogue between experts with different perspectives on the industrial value chain. The sum of their opinions helped to understand the current framework in which the digital transformation and the implementation of Industry 4.0 in different companies in the industry.

Engineers Day is an initiative co-organised by Hispack and the EIC with the support of various associations and organisations from the packaging industry and the world of industry and engineering such as Ainia, Amec, Graphispack Asociación, Aimplas, Beauty Cluster, Centro Español de Plásticos, ITENE, Packaging Cluster, Packnet, Leitat and the Consejo General de Ingenieros Industriales. The programme of adhesions to this event is still open to incorporate more collaborating entities.
