From internationalisation and innovation in the packaging industry to the largest European congress on collaborative robotics for the sector. Hispack organised an intense schedule of activities and the side events programme provided an excellent opportunity to get to know our partners’ and collaborators’ business and projects.
From challenges to successes
Our knowledge corners became an open and revealing space. Hispack Unboxing, featuring an area of presentations, innovation and networking, covered the challenges of packaging and logistics from start to finish, from a tangible, concrete and measurable perspective.
Attendees had the opportunity to obtain first-hand experience of how the companies and key players in the sector put innovation into practice to offer more effective and profitable solutions that meet the new needs of customers and consumers.
Representatives of some thirty leading companies in the application of innovative and sustainable packaging processes and solutions, invited through the “Hispack Boosters” programme, took part in the show.
Mercadona, Campofrio, Nestlé, Danone, The Body Shop, Ferrer, Henkel, Unilever, Procter & Gamble, Ametller Origen, Codorniu, Freixenet, Pastas Gallo, Mahou-San Miguel, Carelli, Nueva Pescanova, and Mercabarna explained their experiences at Hispack.
5 European success stories were recognised under this programme. Thanks to packaging innovation, these companies have managed to multiply their efficiency, access new markets or transform their business model.
Its proposals exemplify the value of packaging as a driver of innovation: a pack for growing and exporting sprouts; a system for filling reusable cosmetic containers in-store; robots for packaging pharmaceutical micro-crops; packaging, packaging and traceability from the very first moment of salmon fishing; and a production, packaging and preservation line for ice cubes.
The packaging party
The most special night of the show was the Liderpack awards ceremony, which was attended by more than a thousand people. The relaxed atmosphere of the event made it the perfect setting for personal reunions and for expanding the network of professional contacts.
Live music, gastronomy and a desire to celebrate the return to normality in the packaging ecosystem. What better way to reconnect than with a good gala?
During the days of celebration, Universal Robots presented #CollaboratePack, the largest collaborative robotics congress for the packaging industry in Europe.
The event brought together more than 40 experts in robotics and automation and offered demonstrations of more than 20 applications with live robots. In cooperation with 25 technology partners, it dedicated 1,200 m2 to showcasing concrete process automation solutions for the industry.
IV Barcelona Perfumery Congress
It was a scientific and technical event that combined fragrance science, scent technology and research related to olfaction. Industry professionals and research institutions meet every year to find the latest solutions on the market and share knowledge about fragrances. This year, the congress took place within the framework of Hispack.
Packaging Cluster Zone
One of the most active areas of the show, which hosted talks and presentations on packaging R&D projects, start-ups, market studies and sector talent.
Companies such as 3D Click, AIS Vision Systems, Caixa d’Enginyers, E21 Design Technologies, Lubrizol, EC Convert, NG Plastics, Tai Smart Factory, Trading Films, Mettler Toledo and Industrias Plásticas Triana shared their latest innovations in this busy space.
